Recognition of participation in student self-administration
At its 2nd meeting on 20 October 2011, the 38th StuPa unanimously passed the following resolution:
The StuPa calls on the rectorate and the decision-makers of the faculties to recognise participation in student self-administration as part of university education and to certify this recognition to non-university bodies such as authorities.
Co-operation with the Westfälisch-Lippische Universitätsgesellschaft
Due to intolerable sexist and homophobic statements made by the WLUG, the 38th StuPa suspended all cooperation between the constituted student body and the WLUG at its fourth meeting on 8 December 2011 until a comprehensive and satisfactory clarification has been reached.
Resolution of the 36th StuPa of 10.09.2009
The student parliament expresses its solidarity with the student initiatives that are being hindered in their work by the Facility Management department and the entire university management, in particular Radio Hertz 87.9, the departmental student representative committee for Educational Science and, in a similar case, the RCDS.
It is unacceptable that voluntary work at the university is made impossible by the rigid room management. No alternatives are offered for withdrawn or cancelled rooms; there is not even a willingness to talk.
In the case of Hertz 87.9 in particular, the short-term withdrawal of the editorial room has fatal consequences; 15,000 CDs and high-quality broadcasting equipment can no longer be stored.
The 36th Student Parliament therefore reaffirms the resolution of 25 June 2009 and calls on the FM department and the university management to create alternatives for those affected and to stop standing in the way of student commitment.

Resolution of the 35th StuPa of 20 November 2008
The StuPa calls on the local politicians in Bielefeld to abolish the second residence tax and to introduce a welcome money for students instead. (20 Y / 1 N / 1 E)
Resolution of the 35th StuPa of 05.02.2009
The StuPa of Bielefeld University condemns in the strongest possible terms the repeated acts of violence and verbal abuse on the part of the Prodiac security service on Wednesday 4 February 2009. The Chair will report this to the Rectorate. At the same time, the student body calls on the rectorate to stop using private security services in and around the university with immediate effect. The AStA is instructed to publicise the incidents on Wednesday and in the past and to inform teaching staff, other employees and students. This could be done, for example, via the central mailing list for students and staff. (14 Y/3 N/0 E)
Resolution of the 34th StuPa of 08.11.2007:
Due to the corporate policy of the Coca-Cola Company, the constituted student body boycotts this company. The Studentenwerk is requested to remove Coca-Cola Company products from the university canteens and cafeterias and to offer alternatives. All members of this university should be informed about the reasons for the boycott. The AStA will distribute information material in the university canteen and also seek talks with AudiMin party organisers, for example, in order to implement the boycott consistently. (20 Y / 2 N / 1 E)
Resolution of the 34th StuPa of 08.11.2007:
The AStA is called upon to advocate clear requirements regarding "active participation". For example, a binding catalogue of services that lecturers must offer would be possible. At the same time, the AStA should work towards reducing the workload in seminars to a tolerable level. In addition, compulsory attendance should be abolished. (17 Y / 0 N / 0 E)
Resolution of the 34th StuPa of 08.11.2007:
The Student Parliament calls on the Rectorate to create more retreat rooms for students at Bielefeld University. These must offer students at central and decentralised levels the opportunity to find relaxation, peace and distance from the largely hectic everyday life of studying and the associated stressors, and decentralised rooms should also be created within the university to withdraw from everyday study life. This remodelling must not be financed by tuition fees. (12 Y / 1 N / 1 E)
Resolution of the 34th StuPa of 17.04.2008
The Student Parliament calls on all dean's offices of the faculties to fulfil their legal obligation to provide evidence of the use of the tuition fees allocated to them since the beginning of their collection and to publish this information in an appropriate manner without delay. Furthermore, the Student Parliament demands that in future the use of the fees is published regularly, i.e. after each "allocation round". Furthermore, the presentation of the utilisation must be transparent and clearly visible; it must also be easily accessible to every student. (19 Y / 3 N / 0 E )
Resolution of the 34th StuPa of 08.05.2008:
The Student Parliament calls on the members of the University Council of Bielefeld University to include at least one member of the student body elected by the Student Parliament at all meetings.
